I had been unhappy about my weight and appearance for a long time and after seeing one picture of myself that was taken of me it pushed me to change, so I found Danny Walker on Facebook, one message and he text me straight away, then he had me in for a consultation within 2 days and training within a week.
My first session – I couldn’t even get though the warm up, wanted to give up straight away and thought to myself that I need to go home because I’ll never be able to do this…. I think Danny knew this so had me straight back in the next day…I couldn’t squat without something behind me to balance me, couldn’t lunge without using TRX straps and could only hold my plank for just about 6 seconds.
I started training with Danny twice a week and started to do extra sessions with him when I can as I’m starting to feel full of energy after a session rather than done in! I’m also now going the gym by myself on days I’m not in with Danny which is a massive step alone as the thought of walking in a gym alone a few months back…. well it’s something I’d never have dreamt off.
I was clueless with food and lived of junk food but with Danny’s guidance I now understand what food I need and why! My eating habits have changed dramatically! I’ve gone from 2 meals a day which would be a McDonald’s or KFC with a galaxy every night to healthy clean meals and now prep my 3 meals a day for my week ahead (would have never ever done this before). Water was never in my life either but I now have at least two litres a day.
I lost 15lb in my first 10 days and I had my measurements taken 3 weeks in an was 24 inches down. Then 3 months on I was a total off 36 inches down and 32lb lost. I’m total I have now lost 38lb. I was a size 18 – now I’m a 8/10.
I have suffered with extreme anxiety with severe depression for years and struggled to do my day to day things in life including going outside alone – so to walk into a fitness studio was a huge thing to me but Danny helped me right through this – I’d hate going out in case I was judged for my weight or looked at for my appearance but I’m feeling so much more confident and I’m so so so so much more happy within myself!
People comment on my happiness as well as my weight loss! Danny says it’s me and he’s just guided me but I honestly could have never got to where I am without him! I was clueless to fitness and good foods but he has trained me mentally as well as physically! I also suffered health wise needing all kinds of supplements due to deficiencies as my diet was so wrong – even my stress levels caused me to have issues with my cortisol in my bloods, now I have learned how to control my anxiety and no longer struggle with the things I’ve struggled or suffered with for years!
I look forward to my sessions so much and I would have given up on that first session if I didn’t have Danny’s support.
PS – I once confessed and told Danny I had a cheat meal with a glass of wine and a KFC in the same day and he made me do 5 laps around the block AFTER a gruelling session.
